In conjunction with Ferguson Electric, Innovative Operations Technology LLC is once again working closely with the Niagara Frontier Transportation Authority.  Additions and upgrades are planned within the 400 block of Main Street in downtown Buffalo, New York.  This construction is part of a multi-million dollar, state funded project to help improve the infrastructure of the Metro Rail system.  Secured by Governor Kathy Hochul and Senator Tim Kennedy, this major project includes replacing rail, track bed, and catenary wiring.  Along with this work, a new double crossover and associated signaling equipment will be installed and tied to IOT’s Rail Operations Dispatcher system allowing less disruptive interruptions to millions of NFTA passengers.  These upgrades will improve safety and overall efficiency to the NFTA’s Metro Rail system.
